Appointment Cancellation Policy
Effective date: September 8, 2026
Appointment time is reserved for you. Please contact Mind Over Matter Mental Health Group as early as possible if you cannot attend or need to reschedule.
Required notice
New-patient or initial visits: at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Follow-up or routine visits: at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
These notice periods follow the missed-appointment section of the practice's Informed Consent & Policies. A missed appointment or cancellation with less than the required notice is subject to the stated $75 missed-appointment fee, subject to applicable law and any service-specific terms agreed to for your appointment.
How to cancel or reschedule
Use the practice-designated patient portal or contact the office at (949) 569-5197. Include your name and appointment date and time, and request confirmation. Do not include detailed medical information in a general website message. If you booked through an outside platform, follow its cancellation process and contact the practice if you are unsure whether the change was recorded.
Service-specific terms and questions
Review any financial or service-specific acknowledgment provided for your appointment. If it differs from this general policy, contact the practice to clarify the terms that apply before booking. Administrative forms and documentation requests have a separate policy and refund process; this appointment policy does not replace it.
If an emergency or unexpected circumstance affects attendance, contact the office as soon as you can to discuss the situation. This statement does not promise a fee waiver. Questions about a charge may be directed to lori@mindovermattercare.com or (949) 569-5197.
Website forms and messages are not monitored for emergencies. For immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988.
