Find the right fit

Private-pay psychiatry may be a good fit if you want more flexibility.

Private-pay patients often choose this pathway because they want a clearer fee structure, appointment-length options, and a more direct relationship with the practice. New private-pay requests are accepted based on clinical fit and schedule availability.

Private pay can be a good fit for

  • Adults, teens, young adults, couples, or families wanting psychiatric evaluation
  • Patients who want longer visit options for complex medication decisions
  • Families navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, school stress, or treatment planning
  • Patients who prefer transparent direct-pay pricing instead of insurance routing
Private pay is especially useful when time, flexibility, and continuity matter.

Private pay is not for

  • Emergency or crisis care
  • Guaranteed controlled-substance prescribing
  • Unlimited messaging or 24/7 access
  • Requests for forms or letters that are not clinically appropriate
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988.
Private-pay FAQs

What to know before booking.

This page is for new direct-pay services. If you are using insurance, use the insurance booking path instead.

Can I still use insurance?

Yes. Patients who want to use insurance should book through Lori’s Headway page when available. Private-pay services are for patients choosing direct practice scheduling rather than an insurance pathway.

Will I know the cost before the visit?

Yes. Private-pay rates are listed on this page, and self-pay patients receive cost information before scheduled services. Existing private-pay patients may have legacy rates during their courtesy period; new private-pay services and new patients use the current fee schedule.

Does private pay mean I can get urgent or emergency care?

No. Private-pay care is not emergency care and does not include 24/7 crisis support. Established patients may request same-week medication-related appointments when appropriate and available.

Are medications guaranteed?

No. Medication decisions are based on clinical evaluation, safety, history, diagnosis, applicable prescribing standards, and medical appropriateness. No specific medication, stimulant, benzodiazepine, or controlled substance is guaranteed.

Do you see teens and young adults?

Yes, when clinically appropriate. Minors require parent or guardian involvement, appropriate consent paperwork, and separate charting for each patient receiving care.
